Job description
Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Design Manager to lead the execution of multifaceted infrastructure, masterplanning, and urban development initiatives based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves managing extensive multidisciplinary projects from conceptual stages through detailed design, tendering, and construction assistance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the management and delivery of large-scale, multidisciplinary design projects.
- Oversee project schedules, resource allocation, deliverables, budgets, and design coordination.
- Coordinate internal design teams, subcontractors, contractors, and external stakeholders effectively.
- Serve as the primary contact for clients and facilitate project communications and reports.
- Ensure design quality, technical coordination, and adherence to authority regulations.
- Guide design evaluations, technical workshops, value engineering, and design improvements.
- Manage project risks, scope amendments, contract variations, and change control processes.
- Assist project directors in commercial management and planning resource allocation.
- Mentor project teams, fostering collaboration across disciplines.
- Contribute to proposals, tenders, methodologies, and business development efforts.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- A minimum of 12 years of relevant professional experience.
- Proven track record in design management within multidisciplinary consultancy environments.
- Strong expertise in infrastructure, masterplanning, and urban development projects.
- Experience managing projects from inception to detailed design and tender stages.
- Excellent leadership, technical coordination, and client interaction skills.
- Experience working within Saudi Arabia or the broader Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region highly preferred.
- Background in delivering industrial cities, mixed-use developments, or major infrastructure projects is an advantage.
Compensation
Salary up to 45,000 SAR monthly.
