Job description
Role Overview
This position involves comprehensive management of Denodo platform environments, including installation, configuration, patching, upgrading, and ongoing maintenance of both the Solution Manager and Virtual DataPort (VDP).
Key Responsibilities
- Handle full Denodo administration tasks ensuring smooth operation of Solution Manager and VDP components.
- Continuously monitor platform health, performance metrics, service status, and overall availability through effective alert setups and notification configurations.
- Partner with DevOps teams to manage the migration and deployment of Denodo-related code across various operational environments.
- Administer Denodo instances hosted on AWS, leveraging practical expertise with EC2 instances, Linux operating systems, and shell scripting.
- Gain a deep understanding of Denodo architecture to guide efficient utilization of its tools and components.
- Implement data governance frameworks within the Denodo environment to ensure compliant data practices.
- Manage and apply pass-through mechanisms appropriately, recognizing their influence on query execution and data accessibility.
- Identify and resolve issues spanning platform operations, connectivity challenges, performance bottlenecks, deployment mishaps, and other operational technicalities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with application, data, cloud, and DevOps teams to uphold secure and stable Denodo platform operations.
Required Expertise
- Proficiency in Denodo administration, including installation, upgrades, configuration, and monitoring of both Solution Manager and VDP.
- Hands-on experience with data governance principles within Denodo.
- Skilled in managing Denodo deployments on AWS, particularly EC2 platform usage.
- Strong understanding of Linux and shell scripting for platform support and automation.
- Experience working within DevOps frameworks focused on code migration and deployment processes.
- In-depth knowledge of Denodo platform architecture and its various components.
