IMS/DB2 z/OS Database Administrator

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator with specialized experience in IMS and DB2 on z/OS platforms. This role demands strong expertise in managing IMS Online and Batch environments, Delta IMS, HALDB, Fast Path, and DB2 for z/OS database systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer IMS and DB2 databases including performance optimization and tuning.
• Manage IMS Online/Batch operations, Delta IMS configurations, HALDB, and Fast Path environments.
• Perform backup and recovery procedures ensuring data integrity and availability.
• Utilize DB2 utilities and BMC management tools effectively.
• Develop and maintain JCL scripts and operate TSO/ISPF for procedural support.
• Provide 24x7 production support including on-call availability to resolve critical issues promptly.

Essential Requirements

• Demonstrable experience with IMS Online/Batch, Delta IMS, HALDB, and Fast Path technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of DB2 on z/OS including SQL and performance tuning strategies.
• Proficient with DB2 utilities and BMC tools used in database administration.
• Hands-on experience with JCL scripting and navigating TSO/ISPF environments.
• Ability to offer continuous support and manage production issues around the clock.
• Graduate degree or equivalent qualification.

Additional Information

This position is based in Hyderabad and requires readiness for 24x7 on-call duties to support critical production environments.
