Deli Bakery Team Associate

Position Overview

The Deli Bakery Team Associate plays a key role in delivering outstanding customer service by upholding Walmart's core values and principles. This role involves maintaining, organizing, and stocking the Deli and Bakery departments to ensure a high-quality shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize product displays, shelves, tables, and storage areas to ensure proper placement of items in the department.
• Monitor stock by rotating products regularly and inspecting for items that have expired.
• Ensure all merchandise is correctly labeled, signed, and priced to facilitate smooth sales.
• Comply with food safety standards, including monitoring cold chain protocols, calibrating thermometers, recording temperatures, handling food safely, rotating products, and managing sell-by and expiration dates.
• Take customer orders for Deli items, prepare hot food offerings, and assist customers as needed.
• Use utensils and equipment such as the rotisserie oven to prepare deli food orders; replenish side dishes for display purposes.
• Prepare bakery products by adhering strictly to thawing and baking instructions to maintain quality and appearance of items including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Follow established procedures for ordering stock, managing clearances, handling markups and markdowns, and labeling items appropriately.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.

Starting salary for this position is $18.05 per hour.
