Role Summary

We are seeking a Janitor responsible for comprehensive cleaning and upkeep of assigned areas within buildings or across multiple client sites. Duties vary and require adaptability to meet the particular specifications of each client.

Work Schedule and Compensation

• Hourly rate: $16
• Work timings: Monday through Sunday, 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM
• Total weekly hours: 35

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all types of floor surfaces through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Use chemical cleaners and power equipment safely to avoid floor or property damage.
• Clean restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entryways regularly.
• Empty trash receptacles and handle waste disposal, including using compactors where applicable.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using proper cleaning agents and tools.
• Perform spot cleaning on carpets and support carpet extraction and shampooing where needed.
• Restock paper products and sanitary items as required.
• Adhere to prescribed housekeeping schedules.
• Operate heavy cleaning machinery such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers as necessary.
• Undertake additional duties relevant to customer requirements or scope of work.

Essential Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or minimum six months experience in a janitorial role.
• Capacity to follow instructions thoroughly.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Training will be provided on the job.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in cleaning or janitorial services.
• Knowledge of custodial best practices and commercial cleaning standards.
• Understanding of floor care techniques including buffing and waxing.
• Experience in industrial cleaning or facility maintenance is advantageous.
