Job Description

The Janitor role entails comprehensive cleaning and upkeep of assigned indoor locations within one or several client sites. This position requires flexibility to adjust to diverse janitorial tasks according to specific client requirements and site standards.

Working Hours and Pay

The position offers $12 per hour, scheduled Monday through Sunday from 6 AM to 11 AM, totaling 35 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and cleaning of various floor types using sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming techniques.
• Utilize chemical cleaners and power equipment following safety protocols to avoid damage to flooring and property.
• Manage cleaning and monitoring of restrooms, conference rooms, hallways, and entrance areas.
• Dispose of waste properly by emptying trash containers and using compactors as required.
• Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors employing the appropriate materials and tools.
• Conduct spot cleaning on carpets and support carpet extraction and shampooing efforts.
• Restock paper goods and sanitation supplies as necessary.
• Adhere to scheduled housekeeping plans and routines.
• Operate heavy-duty cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuum cleaners, and buffers occasionally.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned consistent with job scope or client demands.

Qualifications

Required:

• Completion of high school or equivalent certification, alternatively a minimum of six months’ experience in a janitorial role.
• Willingness to undergo on-the-job training.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to comprehend and follow instructions accurately.

Preferred:

• Previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience.
• Understanding of custodial best practices and commercial cleaning quality standards.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques like buffing and waxing.
• Background in industrial cleaning or maintenance of facilities.
