Job Description

The Janitor is responsible for comprehensive cleaning and upkeep of assigned building areas, which may involve multiple client locations. Duties require flexibility to meet client-specific guidelines.

Primary Duties

• Empty and clean all waste containers, disposing of waste to designated areas and wiping containers as needed.
• Maintain ash trays and sand urns, replenishing sand when necessary.
• Dust image frames, charts, graphs, and other wall hangings.
• Damp dust ceiling and air conditioning diffusers, partition grilles, registers, and other ventilation louvers.
• Vacuum mats, carpets in workspaces, lobbies, and corridors.
• Clean and dust all office furnishings, files, fixtures, paneling, window sills, and flat surfaces by hand.
• Wipe and polish all metal hardware fixtures and decorative bright work.
• Clean, mop, and maintain tile floor surfaces appropriately.
• Damp wipe and buff glass furnishings.
• Clean entry door glass on both interior and exterior surfaces.
• Remove stains from vertical surfaces including doors, frames, light switch areas, private entry glass, and dividers.
• Wash, clean, and sterilize water coolers.
• Sweep and vacuum private stairways if carpeted.
• Perform sweeping and mopping of building floors.
• Sanitize and restock bathroom supplies regularly.

Qualifications

• Ability to comprehend and follow both written and oral instructions.
• Minimum of six months experience in janitorial work.
