Job Overview

The Janitor is responsible for general cleaning and upkeep duties within assigned buildings or multiple client locations. Tasks can vary, requiring adaptability to meet specific client needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Empty and clean waste containers, disposing of garbage properly, and damp wiping containers.
• Clear ashtrays, monitor sand urn supplies, and replenish sand as needed.
• Dust picture frames, charts, graphs, and wall-mounted items.
• Damp dust ceiling and air conditioning diffusers, partition grilles, registers, and ventilation louvers.
• Vacuum mats, carpets in work areas, lobbies, and corridors.
• Dust and clean office furniture, fixtures, paneling, window sills, and other flat surfaces by hand.
• Clean and polish metal fixtures and brightwork.
• Maintain tile floors by cleaning and buffing as required.
• Damp wipe and polish glass furniture.
• Clean interior and exterior door glass at entryways.
• Remove stains from vertical surfaces including doors, door frames, light switch areas, private entry glass, and dividers.
• Wash, clean, and sanitize water coolers.
• Sweep stairways and vacuum if carpeted.
• Sweep and mop building floors thoroughly.
• Sanitize restrooms, restock supplies, and maintain cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions accurately.
• At least six months of experience in janitorial or similar cleaning roles.

Hourly compensation is $14 per hour.
