Job Description

We are hiring a Janitor responsible for comprehensive cleaning and upkeep of designated areas within one or several client facilities. Job duties vary by client requirements, requiring flexibility and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning of all floor types through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
• Use chemical cleaners and power tools according to established safety and maintenance protocols to avoid damage
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, meeting rooms, hallways, and entryways
• Handle trash disposal and operate compactors when needed
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with suitable products and equipment
• Spot clean carpets and assist with deep carpet cleaning including extraction and shampooing
• Restock paper and sanitary items as necessary
• Adhere to a housekeeping schedule
• Occasionally operate heavy cleaning machines like floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers
• Carry out other tasks as assigned according to job scope or client demands

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or at least six months of janitorial experience
• Willingness to undergo training on the job
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to follow directions accurately and efficiently

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in janitorial or cleaning roles
• Knowledge of custodial practices and commercial cleaning standards
• Skills in floor care including buffing and waxing
• Experience in industrial cleaning or facility maintenance sectors
