Cybersecurity Project Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Cybersecurity Project Manager to oversee cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring effective collaboration among clients, technical teams, vendors, and other stakeholders. The role involves managing projects throughout their life cycle while maintaining transparent communication with clients and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity projects from initial planning to final delivery and closure.
• Oversee project scope, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, risks, issues, and deliverables.
• Serve as a liaison between clients, cybersecurity teams, IT departments, vendors, and consultants.
• Build and sustain strong client relationships, managing their expectations and providing timely updates.
• Monitor vendor performance, service level agreements, unresolved issues, and contractual obligations.
• Escalate project risks and vendor concerns through proper governance channels when necessary.
• Maintain detailed project documentation including plans, risk/issue logs, action trackers, decision records, and change requests.
• Prepare executive dashboards and committee reports covering project progress, milestones, financial status, KPIs, KRIs, risks, and vendor performance.
• Deliver project status updates and decision points to executive management and steering committees.
• Record and track committee decisions ensuring actions are completed and properly documented.
• Support cybersecurity reporting obligations for regulatory bodies, boards, and senior management.
• Coordinate projects involving domains like GRC, vulnerability management, IAM, SOC, security assessments, network security, and security monitoring.
• Ensure adherence to governance, security, quality, and regulatory requirements throughout projects.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management, or related areas.
• At least 7 years of professional experience overall, with a minimum of 3 years managing cybersecurity or IT security projects directly.
• Demonstrated capability in coordinating technical security teams and managing cybersecurity vendors or consultants.
• Proven client engagement and client success expertise.
• Experience managing project scope, timings, budgets, risks, issues, and deliverables effectively.
• Skilled in preparing and presenting detailed reports to executive management and governance committees.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NCA ECC, SAMA CSF, or similar standards is strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity domains including GRC, IAM, SOC, vulnerability management, security assessments, and network security.
• Experience applying Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies in project management.
• PMP certification is a plus but not required.
• Additional certifications like CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or Security+ are advantageous.
• Excellent communication, documentation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in professional communication and presentations in both Arabic and English.
