Division Head - Data Center

About the Role

We seek a seasoned executive to lead and expand our Data Center division, focusing on securing and delivering hyperscale and mission-critical projects. This leadership role encompasses the entire business lifecycle from client acquisition, tendering, project execution, to financial success and growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and drive the strategic plan for the Data Center business aimed at growth and market penetration.
• Forge and maintain strong connections with hyperscale data center clients, cloud service providers, colocation firms, consultants, developers, and influential industry stakeholders.
• Direct business development to discover new opportunities, secure partnerships, and win data center contracts.
• Manage the tendering process, including bid strategies, understanding client needs, preparing commercial and technical proposals, pricing, risk evaluations, value engineering, negotiations, and contract finalization.
• Supervise the successful delivery of Design-Build Data Center EPC projects from design through procurement, construction, commissioning, and final turnover.
• Lead project teams to consistently meet safety standards, quality benchmarks, budget constraints, schedules, client expectations, and profitability goals.
• Assume full accountability for profit and loss, revenue goals, financial forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
• Build and govern a high-performing leadership team across business development, tendering, engineering, procurement, operations, project execution, and commercial departments.
• Scout for new market opportunities, strategic alliances, joint ventures, acquisitions, and novel service expansions within the data center sector.
• Serve as the company’s face at client meetings, industry forums, conferences, and executive business discussions.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Experience as a senior executive, CEO, Business Unit Head, or Managing Director in organizations specializing in Data Centers, mission-critical infrastructure, EPC, Design-Build, MEP, or construction sectors.
• Demonstrable expertise in hyperscale data centers, cloud data centers, colocation facilities, or comparable mission-critical infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record in securing data center projects through strong client relationships, bidding, tendering, negotiations, and contracts.
• Hands-on experience managing projects end-to-end, from award through testing, commissioning, and handover—not solely sales or tendering.
• Comprehensive knowledge of data center systems including electrical power, substations, backup power solutions, cooling, HVAC, Building Management Systems/Data Center Infrastructure Management, ICT/ELV infrastructure, and fire and life-safety systems.
• Experience overseeing large-scale projects with responsibility for P&L, revenue expansion, budgeting, and profitability.
• Established network at the executive level with hyperscalers, cloud providers, colocation operators, developers, consultants, and major suppliers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
