Customer Delivery Driver - Warndon Superstore, Worcester

Role Overview

As a Customer Delivery Driver at Tesco, you will be the primary point of contact for delivering groceries directly to customers' homes. This position involves far more than just driving; it requires dedication to excellent customer service, careful handling of goods, and adaptability to varied daily responsibilities. You will spend much of your day working independently but will have management and team support available at the base.

Working Schedule

• Sunday: 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM
• Monday: 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
• Tuesday: 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM
• Friday: 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM
• Saturday: 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery van, trays, and work area to ensure deliveries arrive in excellent condition.
• Load the van safely and perform thorough vehicle checks to guarantee readiness and safety on the road.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding any order modifications, substitutions, or items approaching expiration, ensuring a positive and smooth delivery experience.
• Handle all products with the utmost care, upholding quality and building customer trust.
• Deliver orders within the allocated time slots, providing friendly and courteous service to leave customers feeling appreciated and well cared for.

Candidate Requirements

• Build and maintain strong relationships within the team to foster a cooperative and high-performing work environment.
• Demonstrate warmth and friendliness with both customers and coworkers.
• Adapt swiftly to changing customer needs and embrace ongoing changes both on the road and in-store.
• Hold a valid UK, EU, or EEA driving licence (full or automatic) held for at least 12 months and have no more than three penalty points.
