Cafe Team Leader

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Team Leader for one of our Cafés, operating in a lively and welcoming environment. If you have a commitment to outstanding customer service, a proactive and collaborative mindset, this role offers the opportunity to ensure smooth daily operations. You will support the Café Manager in fulfilling business and financial objectives, coach and develop team members, and demonstrate leadership through excellent customer interaction. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain smooth operations adhering to safety and operational standards.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Lead by example by delivering superior customer service.
• Manage café opening and closing procedures and oversee operations in the Manager’s absence.
• Recognize and reward team members for exceptional service.
• Master the menu and assist the team in gaining thorough product knowledge.
• Optimize staff allocation to enhance sales performance.
• Provide training on Health & Safety and Food Safety to staff members.
• Assist the Manager in coaching and developing colleagues.
• Continuously seek improvements in customer service.
• Foster an inclusive workplace where all employees feel respected, valued, and secure.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in hospitality with prior Team or Shift Leader responsibilities.
• Strong enthusiasm for delivering excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Safety standards.
• Effective communication abilities.
• Capability to multitask and adjust to shifting priorities.
• Initiative to identify and implement improvements in workplace operations.
