About the Role

As a vital contributor to our café's success, the Cafe Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality breakfast dishes and baked goods while maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchen. This role requires dedication to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring every meal meets the standards outlined in our menu. Work is varied and essential, playing a key part in creating a positive daily experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Ensure prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service.
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations while keeping accurate daily records.
• Implement first in, first out (FIFO) stock rotation to guarantee freshness.
• Receive deliveries and manage safe storage of food items.
• Follow all operational policies and procedures diligently.
• Prepare, cook, and serve food items exactly as per café standards.
• Maintain availability of all menu items and uphold quality standards.
• Know the café's menu thoroughly to provide appropriate service.
• Address customer complaints effectively and communicate issues to the Café Manager.
• Stay informed with ongoing business communications and new initiatives.
