Cafe Team Member

About the Role

Join our cafe team where every day starts with brewing tea and opening doors to a lively environment. As a Cafe Team Member, you'll engage in a mix of food preparation, customer interaction, and maintaining cleanliness, all contributing to an excellent customer experience. The role offers flexible work schedules, opportunities for advancement, and a guaranteed minimum of 8 hours per week. Shift timings will be provided with three weeks' notice, and some flexibility in availability is welcome.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Serve customers promptly with care and professionalism.
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards while maintaining daily records.
• Ensure proper stock rotation using the first-in, first-out (FIFO) method to keep food fresh.
• Receive deliveries and store food safely.
• Comply with all operational policies and procedures.
• Prepare, cook, and serve menu items accurately according to cafe standards.
• Monitor stock levels to maintain product availability and quality.
• Understand the menu thoroughly and deliver food as intended.
• Address and resolve customer complaints, escalating to the Caf Manager as necessary.
• Stay informed about business communications and new initiatives.
• Keep customer tables clean by clearing and sanitising regularly.
