Overview
As a Customer Delivery Driver representing Tesco on the road, you will meet customers at their homes to provide exceptional service with a friendly attitude. The role is physically engaging, varied, and requires independence throughout much of the day, though support is available from managers and colleagues at the store base.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of your van, trays, and work area to ensure customers receive their shopping in pristine condition.
- Load the van safely and carry out all necessary checks to guarantee the vehicle is roadworthy and reliable for deliveries.
- Communicate courteously with customers about any order modifications, substitutions, or items nearing expiry, offering refunds when appropriate to maintain seamless customer experiences.
- Handle products carefully, treating each delivery with high standards to preserve quality and customer trust.
- Deliver orders punctually within designated customer time slots, providing warm and genuine service at the doorstep to ensure customers feel valued.
Candidate Requirements
- Establish good collaboration with colleagues to foster a positive team environment and provide excellent customer service.
- Exhibit a warm, friendly demeanor towards both customers and coworkers.
- Adapt swiftly to changing customer needs and embrace changes encountered both on the road and at the store.
- Possess a valid UK, EU, or EEA full or automatic driving license held for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
