Position Overview and Duties

This role involves maintaining cleanliness and order in various areas including rooms, hallways, stairways, and communal spaces. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors using manual tools and lightweight machinery such as vacuum cleaners and floor scrubbers. Additionally, the occupant will dust, wax, and polish furniture and fixtures, sanitize bathrooms, empty trash bins, make beds, change linens, clean mirrors, walls, windows, and blinds, and replenish toiletries and room amenities. Observations of any repair or maintenance needs in rooms must be reported, and stock levels of supplies must be maintained to support these duties.

Employment Conditions and Requirements

• Applicants must be capable of lifting and transporting items weighing up to 20 pounds.
• Employment is contingent upon presentation of a Social Security Card and enrollment in Direct Deposit.
• Candidates must meet eligibility and background criteria, including successful completion of an employment verification (E-Verify) process and all pre-employment checks as stipulated in AR 215-3.
• A Tier 1 background check may be required for access to federally controlled sites requiring a Common Access Card.
• Males born after December 31, 1959, must be registered in or exempt from Selective Service.
• Job duties, working hours, locations, and assignments may vary according to mission needs.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow straightforward verbal instructions is essential.
• Experience or training with hand-held or lightweight powered cleaning equipment is not required but candidates must be capable of using such tools effectively.
• This position does not require any specific educational qualifications.
