Role Summary
As a Cloud Engineer specializing in Software Development within the Strategy, Risk & Transactions – Advisory – Digital Risk team, you will contribute significantly to transforming digital risks into business opportunities. This team creates innovative services to minimize digital threats and foster growth through risk-aware digitalization. Your work location options include Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt (Main), Hamburg, Hannover, Cologne, Leipzig, Mannheim, Munich, Nuremberg, and Stuttgart.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with software architects, developers, and operations teams to design effective cloud architectures tailored to application needs.
- Provision cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
- Drive high levels of automation and integrate CI/CD pipelines within cloud infrastructure environments.
- Establish robust monitoring and logging systems to ensure error-free, scalable, and high-performing development environments.
- Continuously improve and maintain the reliability of the cloud infrastructure.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in a STEM field (MINT) or comparable education with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in software development projects.
- Strong technical expertise in cloud-based software development and hands-on experience with cloud technologies.
- Proficiency in at least one mainstream programming language such as Python, Java, or C# alongside scripting automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
- Preferably, certification in a cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) or experience with OpenStack.
- Fluent communication skills in both German and English, written and spoken.
- No travel requirement.
