Senior Solutions Architect

About the Role

Based in Perth, Western Australia, this role is critical to advancing our mission of making data science and analytics accessible and actionable for customers. As a Senior Solutions Architect at Databricks, you will leverage your deep technical expertise to guide customers through complex data challenges using our Data Intelligence Platform. You will collaborate closely with a team that values innovation and creativity to tailor solutions that propel our customers' business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to develop and execute customer engagement strategies within your assigned territory.
• Mentor junior Solutions Architects and teams on prioritizing use cases and cultivating technical advocates.
• Engage and influence stakeholders across organizational levels, including integration with the broader cloud ecosystem and third-party applications, promoting enthusiasm for Databricks' vision and solutions.
• Act as a trusted advisor and expert architect for significant data analytics architectures, driving design and adoption of our platform.
• Contribute to the technical community by creating customer-facing materials and leading workshops, seminars, and community events.
• Pursue professional growth in one or more career paths such as technical specialization, industry thought leadership, strategic vision, or people management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated capability in engaging complex customer interactions and managing technical pre-sales throughout the sales process.
• Proven ability to influence senior decision-makers, including C-level executives, by building relationships and coordinating teams to deliver long-term success.
• Experience coding in primary programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala, with openness to learning foundational Apache Spark.
• Hands-on expertise delivering multifaceted proofs-of-concept and working with public cloud platforms.
• Skill in designing technical solutions tailored to specialized client requirements while navigating competitive environments.
