Role Summary

As a Cloud Engineer specializing in software development within the Strategy, Risk & Transactions – Advisory – Digital Risk division, you will assist clients in transforming digital risks into valuable opportunities. Our team crafts innovative solutions to minimize digital risks, prevent threats, and facilitate risk-averse digitalization that accelerates clients' growth.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software architects, developers, and operations teams to design appropriate cloud architectures tailored for applications.
• Deploy cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies and tools such as Terraform.
• Ensure high automation levels by integrating CI/CD pipelines within the cloud infrastructure.
• Implement robust monitoring and logging to guarantee error-free operation, scalability, and performance of development environments.
• Continuously maintain and enhance the reliability and efficiency of cloud infrastructure through optimization and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Skills

• Completed STEM degree or comparable qualification with at least 2 years of experience in software development projects.
• Strong technical understanding of software development in cloud environments with hands-on experience using cloud technologies.
• Proficiency in programming with at least one mainstream language (e.g., Python, Java, C#) alongside experience automating tasks via scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash.
• Preferably holds certifications on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, or possesses experience working with OpenStack.
• Fluent in both German and English, spoken and written. Travel is not required.
