Car Detailer

Role Overview

We are seeking energetic and dedicated entry-level Lot Attendants to become part of Carvana, the fastest-growing used car retailer in the US. This role focuses on keeping vehicles clean and presentable at our Market Hubs while cooperating with team members to ensure timely vehicle delivery and excellent customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly inspect each vehicle for mechanical, cosmetic, and drivability issues.
• Regularly wash and vacuum all vehicles on the lot to maintain appearance.
• Perform multi-point inspections on incoming inventory, including fuel level checks, safety features, drivability tests, and ensuring proper company and state disclosures are displayed.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with coworkers and external vendors.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management throughout the organization.
• Maintain consistent and reliable attendance as required.

Compensation and Benefits

• This is a full-time position with paid time off, paid holidays, and your birthday off.
• Starting wage is $15 per hour with step increases every three months based on performance: $15.25/hr at 3 months, $15.50/hr at 6 months, $15.75/hr at 9 months, and $16/hr at 12 months.
• Our "Careers Not Jobs" program offers four merit-based pay increases annually to support your advancement.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record for the past three years.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently, mainly lifting from knee to shoulder height, and carry loads up to 60 pounds for distances up to 20 feet.
• Capable of standing for long periods with frequent walking, reaching, stooping, pushing, pulling in various weather conditions, including outdoor elements.
• Comfortable in noisy, cold, hot, wet environments that may have vehicle-related fumes or odors.
• Must possess excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity.
• Willingness to use safety gear including but not limited to face shields, goggles, gloves, masks, non-slip shoes, and other protective equipment.
• Frequent driving and occasional typing tasks are required.
• Requires reliable and consistent attendance.
