Role Overview

We are seeking entry-level Lot Attendants to join Carvana, the fastest-growing used automotive retailer in U.S. history and among the top fastest Fortune 500 companies. As a Lot Attendant, your focus will be on maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of vehicles at our Market Hubs, while collaborating with team members to ensure efficient deliveries and excellent customer satisfaction.

Job Details and Compensation

• Full-time position based onsite
• Paid time off, paid holidays, plus your birthday off
• Competitive starting hourly wage of $15/hr with opportunities for raises based on performance:
  • Starting pay: $15/hr
  • At 3 months: $15.25/hr
  • At 6 months: $15.50/hr
  • At 9 months: $15.75/hr
  • At 12 months: $16/hr
• Careers Not Jobs program offers four merit-based pay increases per year to promote growth

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect each vehicle for mechanical, drivability, and cosmetic issues
• Perform regular washing and vacuuming of all inventory
• Conduct multi-point inspections on incoming vehicles covering fuel level, safety features, drivability tests, and display of necessary company and state documents
• Maintain positive working relationships with coworkers and external vendors
• Communicate effectively with team members and management across various departments
• Ensure consistent regular and predictable attendance

Qualifications and Physical Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum age 18 years with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record for the past 3 years
• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds independently, including lifting from knee to shoulder height and transporting loads up to 20 feet
• Capability to stand for extended periods with frequent stretching, walking, reaching, stooping, pushing and pulling
• Comfort working outdoors in varied weather conditions including cold, heat, noise, and wet environments with potential exposure to fumes or odors from vehicle maintenance
• Excellent visual sharpness and manual dexterity required
• Utilization of safety gear such as face shields, goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, masks, and other protective equipment as needed
• Frequent driving and some typing duties
• Adherence to predictable attendance schedules mandatory
