Job Overview

The Cabin Services Assistant is responsible for organizing, sanitizing, and customizing the A380 Shower Spas to ensure a delightful experience for First Class passengers using this unique onboard facility. While the main focus is on the Shower Spa's cleanliness and personalization, the role also includes maintaining lavatories for First, Business, and Economy Classes, as well as First and Business Class Lounges and common cabin areas. This role enhances the company's image by maintaining high cleanliness and service standards. Note that these duties are distinct from standard Cabin Crew service responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory by verifying correct quantities of products are loaded to support onboard services, facilitate in-flight replenishments, and offer a broad product selection for customers.
  • Inspect Shower Spa and lavatories before passengers board, placing amenities to prepare for use.
  • Clean Shower Spas promptly and hygienically after every use, following the CSA Checklist to meet quality standards.
  • Personalize each Shower Spa for individual customers according to the Shower Spa Reservations System schedule, arranging selected products to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Prevent unauthorized access to personalized Shower Spas and inform the Purser if the reservation schedule is delayed, ensuring smooth operation and cleanliness.
  • Routinely maintain the cleanliness and stocking of lavatories by completing the CSA Checklist.
  • Keep passenger cabins and social areas clean and safe through general tidying duties.
  • Report any defects to the Purser promptly to enable timely resolution.
  • Safeguard company assets and the safety of colleagues and customers by reporting abnormalities such as unusual noises, odors, suspicious items, or behavioral concerns to the nearest crew member for investigation.
  • Arrive punctually for duty, adhere to uniform standards, respect the chain of command both on ground and in flight, and carry out duties as instructed by the Purser.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Completion of 10 years of schooling or equivalent education.
  • At least 2 years of customer service experience with an international hotel chain, airline, or a world-class service provider.
  • Hospitality industry experience in housekeeping is beneficial.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
