Technical Product Owner - Finance

As a Technical Product Owner specializing in Finance, you will join our dynamic Product Management team, contributing to B2B and B2C products focused on digital, airline and airport operations, group services, and commercial sectors. You will be instrumental in evolving our finance products by enhancing features that deliver tangible value to customers and end-users.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and own story content, define acceptance criteria, and approve story completion across team backlogs, ensuring timely preparation and frequent refinement aligned with program increments (PIs).
• Ensure technical debt and non-functional requirements are identified, refined, and suitably prioritized within all sprints.
• Integrate additional business-as-usual (BAU) tasks, ceremonies, and spike activities into team backlogs while balancing capacity constraints.
• Collaborate with other product owners to prepare contributions for PI demonstrations.
• Maintain feature quality and integrity within technical and team boundaries, identifying risks and dependencies for escalation to the product portfolio backlog.
• Actively participate in key Product Management forums, especially PI Planning sessions.
• Define and monitor success metrics for prioritized work, facilitating iteration prioritization within available capacity.
• Engage with and help cultivate a community of Product Owners, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to the evolution of Product Management practices and empowered teams through community involvement.
• Identify, capture, and consolidate team-driven innovation ideas, presenting them to the Technical Product Manager (TPM) community.

Qualifications & Experience

• Possess a degree or equivalent qualification (12+3 or similar).
• Bring over five years of experience in Information Technology or a related field.
• Have at least two years of hands-on experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, working closely with teams and demonstrating a strong record of driving impactful delivery.

Skills & Knowledge

• Educational or certification background in Operations Research, Marketing Science, Information Systems, e-Commerce, or related disciplines.
• Familiarity with Scaled Agile frameworks and experience managing multiple initiatives involving approximately 50+ teams is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated technical or domain expertise within finance, keeping abreast of regulatory and technical changes relevant to the Emirates group.
• Proficiency with product management tools used in software delivery processes.
• Effective communication skills, capable of engaging peers, line managers, and stakeholders clearly and concisely.
• A track record of building strong internal relationships and fostering teamwork.
• A customer-focused mindset with a passion for identifying and delivering value.
