Role Overview
The Business Development Associate position is essential for stimulating new business growth within a vast untapped market. This dynamic outbound sales role is designed to cultivate your foundational sales skills, preparing you for advancement into Business Development Manager positions. You'll collaborate with seasoned sales experts to uncover opportunities, engage potential clients, and help drive revenue-generating pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-volume outbound prospecting via telephone, email, and targeted campaigns in designated territories.
- Manage inbound leads promptly and professionally, responding to marketing efforts.
- Assess customer needs and qualify sales opportunities to build an early-stage sales pipeline.
- Coordinate and support product demos in collaboration with Business Development Managers.
- Partner with senior sales personnel to progress leads through the sales pipeline.
- Implement structured outreach strategies to consistently produce quality sales opportunities.
- Maintain precise records of sales activities, pipeline status, and data accuracy in CRM tools.
- Utilize AI tools and digital technologies to enhance prospecting effectiveness, productivity, and customer engagement.
Qualifications and Attributes
- Some initial exposure to tele sales, sales development representative, business development associate, or other customer-oriented sales roles is preferred.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for developing a sustained career in sales.
- Ability to endure and excel in a high-volume, high-rejection sales setting.
- Strong communication skills with a confident phone manner and interpersonal abilities.
- A curious, adaptable, and coachable learner who seeks continual improvement.
- Inventive in engaging and establishing rapport with prospects.
- An interest in AI, technology, and contemporary sales techniques.
Preferred but Not Required
- Experience in B2B sales environments.
- Background in legal or professional services sectors.
