Job Summary

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving coffee, espresso drinks, and related food and beverages while adhering to HACCP guidelines to maintain food safety and quality. This role requires engaging positively with customers and coworkers to enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare espresso and coffee orders accurately using standardized recipes and measures, including catering orders.
• Input customer orders correctly into the POS system and handle cash and card payments efficiently.
• Restock condiments, beverages, and supplies to ensure seamless service, maintaining a clean service environment.
• Maintain proper food presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures in compliance with food safety standards.
• Keep all equipment, utensils, and workstations sanitized and orderly.
• Follow approved recipes and production standards to ensure food quality.
• Keep display equipment clean during meal service periods.
• Thoroughly clean equipment and work areas at shift end before moving to other duties.
• Welcome customers warmly and address their needs to ensure satisfaction; escalate concerns to supervisors when needed.
• Serve customers quickly and efficiently to avoid delays in service lines.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of daily menu items and explain them clearly to customers.
• Use effective selling techniques by communicating well and assisting customers in their purchase decisions.
• Ensure appealing and neat merchandising of all displayed foods per company standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Work Schedule & Location

This is a full-time position based at Yulista, 8600 Advanced Gateway, Huntsville, AL 35808. The working schedule is Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Further details will be provided during the interview.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience as a barista, cashier, and in stocking is required.

Compensation & Benefits

The role offers a fixed wage of $16.00 per hour.
