Job Summary

The Janitor position involves maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of buildings by performing rigorous cleaning tasks such as floor maintenance, rug shampooing, wall and glass washing, and rubbish removal.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of waste in accordance with established protocols and infection control plans.
• Perform dusting and damp mopping of floors following approved procedures.
• Relocate equipment and furniture as needed to enable thorough cleaning, then return items to their proper positions.
• Clean designated areas using assigned cleaning materials and equipment; sanitize all surfaces following an eight-step cleaning method.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other surfaces to ensure a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Proactively identify areas needing cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks.
• Carry out any tasks assigned by supervisors.
• Adhere to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations while performing duties.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpets as required.
• Work collaboratively within the team, maintaining professionalism with customers and colleagues.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Applicants must have prior cleaning experience. Availability for varying full-time or part-time schedules is necessary, with specific hours shared during the interview process.

Compensation and Perks

• Hourly pay ranges from $17.50 to $18.50.
