Role Overview

This full-time, on-site Barista position located in Dubai involves crafting and serving a variety of coffee and other drinks adhering strictly to Surge’s quality, presentation, and speed standards. Responsibilities include operating espresso and brewing equipment, basic food preparation, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the workspace, and replenishing stock. Engaging with customers by warmly welcoming them, taking precise orders, handling payment transactions, and professionally addressing questions or concerns are key functions. Collaboration with the team to ensure smooth daily operations and compliance with hygiene and safety protocols is essential to provide guests with an outstanding experience.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong abilities in customer interaction, including delivering excellent customer service and interpersonal communication.
• Effective and professional communication skills when liaising with guests and colleagues.
• Practical Barista expertise, such as operating espresso machines, understanding various brewing techniques, and beverage preparation.
• Fundamental knowledge of food prep, along with strict adherence to hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards.
• Experience in cafés, coffee shops, or similar hospitality environments is preferred.
• Capability to stand for long durations, handle shift-based work, and thrive in a busy service setting.
• High attention to detail, dependability, and a cooperative, positive mindset towards team efforts.
• Basic numeracy skills for managing payments and POS system operations; conversational English is required, with additional languages considered advantageous.
