Role Overview

We seek backend software engineers to develop the foundational systems powering BJAK's AI Neobank application. Candidates will engineer dependable APIs, workflows, and financial infrastructure capable of scaling across different markets, partners, and millions of users.

Key Responsibilities

• Create backend services, APIs, and workflows tailored for the AI Neobank app.
• Support a broad range of products including insurance, payments, wallet, savings, investing, travel, and financial services.
• Design robust systems managing user accounts, transactions, partner integrations, reconciliation, notifications, and operational processes.
• Collaborate closely with product and mobile teams to promptly deliver customer-centric experiences.
• Integrate with external entities like banks, payment gateways, insurers, and data providers.
• Enhance system dependability, monitoring, security, and performance.
• Develop systems that are practical, auditable, and comply with regulations for financial products.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a minimum of 3 years' experience in backend engineering.
• Strong foundation in APIs, databases, system design, and troubleshooting in production environments.
• Experience in building scalable backend services and integrating third-party systems is essential.
• Good grasp of security principles, system reliability, data integrity, and edge case scenarios operationally.
• Able to balance priorities effectively between speed, quality, and associated risks.
• Comfortable collaborating across product, mobile, operations, and business teams.
• Preferably possess fintech experience, especially with payments, insurance, lending, banking or regulated financial products.

Additional Information

This position is remote; however, applicants must be based in Singapore as this hiring is focused on the Singapore market. Proficiency in English is required since it is the primary language used across BJAK's global teams.
