Role Overview

This Senior Software Engineer position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with a hybrid working model allowing some remote work. The engineer will design, develop, and maintain backend software systems critical to insightix's social service initiatives and empowerment platforms. Responsibilities include writing efficient, scalable code, creating APIs and data integrations, optimizing software performance, and collaborating closely with product, data, and consulting teams to align technical solutions with business requirements.

The role also encompasses conducting code reviews, mentoring junior developers, influencing architectural choices, and upholding high standards for security, reliability, and maintainability. Active involvement in planning, documentation, and continual engineering process enhancements is expected.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong understanding of core Computer Science concepts including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
• Proficient in software development practices and experienced in delivering production-quality systems.
• Expertise in backend web development covering APIs, microservices, and database architecture.
• Advanced Object-Oriented Programming skills with experience designing modular, maintainable software frameworks.
• Possession of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience with server-side programming languages and frameworks such as Java, C#, Python, or Node.js, and working knowledge of both relational and non-relational databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including CI/CD deployment pipelines and automation.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to mentor colleagues and explain complex technical topics clearly.
• Background in systems related to analytics, impact measurement, or social service sectors is a plus.
• Fluency in Arabic is required; English proficiency and understanding of the Saudi Arabian context are advantageous.
