Job Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust backend infrastructures to support AI-driven applications at production scale.
• Architect and enhance inference pipelines, manage model orchestration frameworks, and design reliable service architectures.
• Ensure operational excellence including comprehensive monitoring, logging, alert systems, troubleshooting, and incident response management.
• Optimize system throughput by refining inference workload processing, implementing caching and batching techniques, and improving streaming architectures.
• Create scalable and resilient APIs that bridge frontend applications, machine learning models, and external services effectively.
• Continuously upgrade platform stability, scalability, and observability utilizing production data and performance metrics.

Candidate Requirements

• Extensive experience in backend software engineering with a focus on production-level application support.
• Proven track record of designing and managing distributed systems that handle high throughput with low latency.
• Knowledge of AI and machine learning serving systems, including large language models, embeddings, and multimodal AI frameworks.
• Expertise in debugging, monitoring, and tuning complex distributed environments under real-world use conditions.
• Strong grasp of API development, overall system architecture, and modern cloud-native development technologies.
• Self-driven with a proactive ownership mentality capable of managing projects end-to-end from conception through deployment and enhancement.
• Ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced settings while making sound, pragmatic engineering choices.

Technical Proficiencies

• Python programming
• Node.js development
• PyTorch framework
• Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, and other open-source large language model ecosystems
• Proficiency with both SQL and NoSQL databases
• Container orchestration with Kubernetes
• Containerization using Docker

Working Location

This role is based in Singapore and requires onsite presence.
