About the Role
A respected owner of retail and commercial properties with a diverse portfolio that includes lifestyle, retail, and mixed-use projects seeks a leasing professional to assist in expanding and optimizing its tenant mix. The organization focuses on curating engaging retail environments and enhancing assets strategically.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure prospective tenants to meet occupancy and revenue goals.
- Participate actively in planning tenant mixes to boost overall mall performance.
- Maintain strong relationships with tenants, brokers, and industry contacts.
- Lead lease negotiations including renewals, rental terms, and contracts aligned with business strategies.
- Manage lease documentation and ensure execution compliance.
- Monitor tenants' adherence to lease terms and operational standards.
- Assist with asset enhancement initiatives and repositioning efforts linked to leasing.
- Collaborate internally to synchronize leasing with asset management strategies.
- Support plans to increase occupancy and rental income.
- Conduct market research on retail trends, competitors, and tenant activities.
- Prepare leasing performance reports and provide timely updates on occupancy and negotiations.
- Identify market opportunities, offering recommendations to improve leasing outcomes.
- Coordinate property showings and facilitate communication among tenants and internal teams.
- Ensure seamless interdepartmental collaboration between leasing, operations, and marketing.
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma or degree in Real Estate, Property Management, Business, or related disciplines.
- At least 1 to 2 years of experience in leasing within retail, commercial, or mixed-use environments.
- Previous involvement with Asset Enhancement Initiatives (AEI) is highly advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of retail leasing practices, tenant mix strategy, and market conditions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities.
- Self-driven, proactive, and capable of thriving in a dynamic setting.
- Positive, cooperative, and team-oriented attitude.
