Backend Engineer (Go) – AI Security Platform

Position Overview

We are seeking Backend Engineers to join a global enterprise cybersecurity company focused on innovating AI security products. This full-time remote position based in India involves developing secure, scalable systems to protect AI agents, LLM-powered applications, and their data.

Teams and Technologies

Candidates may contribute to one of several specialized teams, such as Agentic Security (real-time policy for AI actions), AI Security Gateway (enterprise proxy for LLMs), Platform (multi-tenant foundation services), Data Security Integration, Cloud Discovery services, Agentic AI Forensics (security event analysis), or AI Risk Research (tools for identifying AI attacks). Core technologies across teams include Go, Python, gRPC/REST APIs, event streaming platforms, Kubernetes, and leading cloud providers. AI-assisted development tools are routinely integrated into workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and operate high-performance, multi-tenant Go backend services emphasizing reliability and efficiency.
• Define APIs and data schemas with robust handling of idempotency, retries, and back-pressure.
• Create event-driven pipelines integrating with cloud ecosystems, internal systems, or AI frameworks.
• Maintain service stability through comprehensive testing, monitoring, CI/CD, and production readiness processes.
• Utilize Python for related tooling, automation, testing, and data operations.
• Collaborate with AI engineers, security researchers, and product managers on threat modeling and enforcement implementations.
• Leverage AI coding assistants as essential tools for development and debugging workflows.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 4 years in backend engineering with at least 2 years developing Go production services; senior positions require 6+ years overall and 3+ years with Go.
• Deep understanding of Go concurrency patterns, networking, and performance profiling including goroutines, channels, and context.
• Proficient in Python programming.
• Experienced with gRPC and REST API design, protobuf, and event-driven architectures like Kafka.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge in managing relational or NoSQL databases within distributed environments.
• Strong focus on testing rigor and data accuracy.
• Fluent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Comfort and expertise in using advanced AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot).
• Capability to operate autonomously in a remote-first, distributed setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with API gateways, proxies, and authorization frameworks like OPA or Cedar.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud provider APIs and identity access management systems.
• Familiarity with large-scale search/indexing solutions such as Elasticsearch or ClickHouse.
• Understanding of LLM agent frameworks, tool-calling protocols, and AI-related security challenges.
• Track record of building multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
• Background in cybersecurity or trust & safety disciplines.
• Experience promoting AI-assisted development practices across teams.

AI Integration in Engineering
