Job description

Position Overview

The Autodesk Identity team is looking for a dedicated Software Development Engineer to join their close-knit product engineering group responsible for creating the Identity SDK. This core component supports integration with Autodesk’s Identity and Authorization solution and is utilized by over 50 Autodesk products across Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms. The role involves collaborating globally with engineers to integrate this SDK into Autodesk desktop offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance and maintain cross-platform components of the Identity Desktop SDK.
  • Design and build SDK features aligned with future Autodesk Identity and Access Management capabilities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex software defects effectively.
  • Implement software according to detailed specifications.
  • Ensure the overall quality of the SDK deliverables.
  • Create and maintain unit and integration tests to guarantee product reliability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support seamless SDK integration.
  • Develop and optimize Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent disciplines.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in software engineering.
  • Solid skills in object-oriented design and software implementation.
  • Strong debugging and analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in a programming language, preferably C++.
  • Experience developing on Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.
  • Background working in agile development environments.
  • Ability to write resilient, fault-tolerant software.
  • Familiarity with Jenkins automation servers and Git version control system.

Preferred Skills

  • Hands-on experience creating products or services with a passion for ongoing learning and development.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively within large engineering teams.
  • Experience with Python, Go programming languages, and testing frameworks is advantageous.
