AT Senior IP Security Engineer

About the Role and Organization

As part of the Assembly and Test (AT) Business Information Security Officer (BISO) team, the AT Senior IP Security Engineer will collaborate with Enterprise Infrastructure and Security (EIS) and Assembly and Test units to enforce security controls, mitigate risks, and guarantee operational continuity. Serving as a security ambassador, this role focuses on protecting Micron's intellectual property and integrating a security-centric mindset within AT operations aligning with corporate security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the facilitator between the EIS team and AT business to support and enhance Micron's security policies aligning security ambitions with business objectives.
• Define strategic goals and initiatives that advance Micron’s security posture, adhering to the seven security disciplines.
• Implement secure data management strategies such as Data Classification, Inventory, and Entitlement Policy Management System (EPMS) tailored for Assembly and Test.
• Champion identity and access management by promoting need-to-know principles and supporting Role Based Access Control (RBAC) programs to govern access rights.
• Contribute to physical security initiatives including global product scrap and equipment disposal programs.
• Manage third-party risk by ensuring secure collaboration with suppliers and partners through approved communication platforms and compliance with security protocols.
• Lead security awareness campaigns promoting the “Human Firewall” concept, producing regular communications and spearheading events to enhance security consciousness within AT.
• Oversee program governance by handling access and exception requests to safeguard intellectual property while allowing business continuity.
• Develop and track security metrics and dashboards to monitor security health and support leadership communications and reviews.
• Advance AI-powered tools to streamline BISO operations, improving efficiency, risk insight, and decision-making.

Required Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or cybersecurity-related discipline.
• Three to five years of experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably with exposure to information security, cyber security, risk management, or data governance.
• Familiarity with semiconductor assembly and test processes is essential.
• Proficiency in data classification, data inventory management, data loss prevention, and external data sharing governance.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or PMP are preferred.
• Strong program management capabilities including change management, stakeholder engagement, communication, and leadership influence skills.
• Ability to create and utilize AI-driven solutions for security risk assessment, governance, and exception management.
• Capability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within teams.
