Key Responsibilities

• Comprehend design constraints and execute superior quality layout designs.
• Expertly utilize Cadence VXL software for periphery block layouts.
• Possess strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities addressing LVS, DRC, and layout-related challenges.
• Demonstrate practical experience in creating layouts for critical Core/Pitch blocks such as Arrays, Row Decoders, and Column Decoders.
• Apply sound knowledge of Core/Pitch layout principles including Bit Line (BL) and Word Line (WL) pitch, and evaluate feasibility for developing WL & BL drivers and pre-drivers.
• Engage in chip-level integration and conduct die size estimations.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of design rules ensuring the delivery of high-quality layouts.
• Deliver major blocks across signal, floorplan, Core/Pitch, and Periphery regions.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to integrate diverse layout techniques for arrays, digital, and analog circuits.
• Handle secondary layout tasks like ECO (Engineering Change Order), LCO (Layout Change Order), and DFM (Design for Manufacturability).
• Coordinate with Technical Directors, Design, CAD, and layout teams to meet deadlines with quality standards.
• Exhibit robust analytical skills to debug issues, derive effective solutions, and engage with engineering staff for consensus.
• Meet all engineering and process criteria required for designated NAND products.
• Organize and prioritize logistical and resource management tasks to align with scheduled deadlines and proactively create resolution methodologies.
• Understand circuit design protocols, semiconductor fabrication processes, mask generation, and tape-out procedures.
• Mentor junior team members, fostering growth and expertise.
• Lead innovation initiatives for future memory technology generations in a dynamic environment.
• Support multiple tape-outs effectively, with prior experience considered advantageous.
• Leverage automation and AI tools to enhance productivity and workflow.
