Assistant Manager

About the Role

Panda Express is seeking skilled leaders to become part of our store management team. As an Assistant Manager, you will support the daily operations of a single store, guiding hiring, managing staff, and driving financial performance while ensuring exceptional guest service.

Key Responsibilities

You will assist in running the store operations including overseeing associate recruitment, staff leadership, and directing work to meet financial targets and deliver outstanding customer experiences. Prior to starting, you will undergo a comprehensive store leadership training program lasting three or more weeks to prepare you for success.

Desired Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• Flexibility to relocate to a store location within 50 miles of your residence.
• Availability for a flexible work schedule, including opening and closing shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
• Current Food Safety ServSafe certification.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Your duties will involve working in hot, steam-filled kitchen areas requiring long periods of standing and manual food preparation including the use of kitchen knives and equipment. You must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for up to four hours continuously, and reaching across counters. The environment is fast-paced, with high noise levels and limited storage space. Excellent communication skills and adaptability to shifting priorities and conflict management are essential.
