Job Summary and Expectations

The Busser plays a vital role in supporting the servers to deliver extraordinary guest service. Responsibilities include clearing and resetting tables, refilling water and tea, and restocking clean dining utensils to ensure guests feel welcomed and well-cared for while facilitating efficient table turnover.

Key Duties

• Clear and reset tables in line with Panda's set standards, including the appropriate placement of silverware and condiments.
• Serve ice water and hot tea promptly upon guests being seated.
• Assist servers by removing used plates and utensils, maintaining courteous and gentle service.
• Coordinate with servers when delivering beverages to ensure accurate order processing.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and alert servers to any concerns or needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and order of the server stations and dining areas, including spill clean-up and restocking essentials.
• Uphold restroom cleanliness and perform light janitorial tasks within the dining and building areas.
• Complete all assigned opening, ongoing, and closing side work diligently.
• Stay attentive to safety hazards such as broken items or equipment and report any incidents to management promptly.
• Exercise responsibility in handling company property and supplies.

Work Environment and Requirements

Busser duties often require working in environments with steam and food vapors, standing for extended periods, and handling hot and cold foods including use of specialized kitchen tools. Workers must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work quickly without sacrificing accuracy, and manage high noise and limited space.
