Role Overview

As an Assistant Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of a single Panda Express store. Your responsibilities include hiring, managing, and guiding team members to meet financial targets and deliver outstanding guest experiences. To ensure your success, you will participate in a paid leadership training program lasting three or more weeks, designed to prepare you for your managerial duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in overall store operations management to achieve financial goals.
• Recruit, train, and motivate associates to maintain high performance standards.
• Direct team to consistently deliver excellent customer service and guest satisfaction.
• Oversee store activities ensuring compliance with food safety and operational procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma is mandatory.
• Flexibility to relocate within a 50-mile radius of current residence if necessary.
• Ability to work a variable schedule, including opening and closing shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays, aligned with business needs.
• Serve Safe food safety certification required.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The position requires working in fast-paced store environments where temperatures near steam tables can be high and sound levels elevated. Tasks involve standing for extended periods (up to four hours), lifting up to 50 pounds, and handling equipment including Chinese cook knives. Employees must demonstrate effective verbal communication, adaptability to shifting priorities, and aptitude in handling challenging situations and conflicts.

• Hourly pay between $30 and $33, influenced by location and experience.
