AS400 Developer with EDI Expertise

Role Overview

This position involves working as an AS400 developer specializing in EDI functionalities, primarily using the Gentran tool. The role requires managing and troubleshooting both inbound and outbound EDI transactions and ensuring a smooth data exchange process with partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Expertly utilize Gentran EDI Tool to manage Electronic Data Interchange processes.
• Address and resolve issues for EDI inbound and outbound transactions promptly.
• Monitor job logs to identify errors and take corrective action when necessary.
• Configure new trading partners in Gentran and update existing partner details, such as addresses or mapping changes.
• Generate monthly transaction reports to track activity and performance.
• Respond to customer inquiries by analyzing and referring to Web Methods logic documentation.
• Modify AS400 programs to implement bug fixes or accommodate new logic requirements.
• Communicate effectively with North American clients, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.

Required Skills and Expertise

• Proficient understanding of the Gentran EDI tool and its configuration.
• Experience in troubleshooting EDI transaction errors.
