Key Responsibilities

• Apply machine learning and analytical methods to develop scalable solutions addressing complex business challenges.
• Analyze vast historical business data to extract actionable insights, automating and optimizing crucial workflows.
• Design, create, assess, and deploy innovative and scalable machine learning models in production environments.
• Collaborate closely with software engineering teams to implement real-time machine learning models efficiently.
• Partner with business stakeholders to identify current issues and propose machine learning-driven solutions.
• Build robust, scalable, and automated pipelines for data analysis, model development, validation, and ongoing maintenance.
• Promote new algorithms and champion the adoption of large-scale, complex ML models in production in cooperation with engineers and product managers.
• Lead projects and provide mentorship to scientists and engineers on machine learning methodologies and best practices.

Team Description

The International Machine Learning team develops pioneering ML solutions impacting the business performance across diverse international regions including India, MENA, Far-East Asia, and Latin America. This team plays a crucial role in driving both top-line and bottom-line growth for Amazon’s international stores.

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or similar.
• Practical experience with SQL and relational database management systems or data warehouses (e.g., Oracle).

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience implementing algorithms using established toolkits and custom-developed code.
• Track record of publications in high-impact, peer-reviewed academic conferences or journals.
