Role Overview
We are seeking skilled Android engineers to develop a native Android experience for BJAK's AI Neobank application. The ideal candidate should be committed to clean user flows, excellent performance, high product quality, and delivering dependable mobile functionalities for actual users.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy native Android app features including onboarding, accounts management, cards, payments, transfers, rewards, and AI-driven user journeys.
- Simplify and optimize complex financial processes into intuitive, swift, and trustworthy mobile experiences.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, backend developers, and AI engineers to take features from conception to release.
- Ensure app quality by monitoring performance, crash rates, loading times, handling edge cases, and maintaining release stability.
- Utilize production data, analytics, and user behavior insights to continuously enhance the app post-launch.
- Integrate APIs, secure authentication, data protection, and financial workflow mechanisms with a focus on reliability.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience with native Android development using Kotlin.
- Track record of shipping Android applications with live user bases.
- Solid understanding of Android architecture components, Jetpack libraries, Coroutines, and Flow.
- Strong product intuition and a focus on user experience beyond merely implementing screens.
- Capability to diagnose and resolve production issues, improving performance, stability, and reliability.
- Adaptable to working in fast-paced and ambiguous startup environments without compromising quality.
Candidate Profile
We desire engineers who have demonstrable achievements in building, scaling, or shipping significant products or systems. The role is not suited for those who prefer strictly defined tasks, pay little attention to user experience, dismiss crash reports or performance issues, work slowly in dynamic teams, or inflate their impact without clear evidence.

- This position is remote but requires candidates to be based in Singapore as it targets the local market.
- English fluency is essential as it is the primary language across BJAK's international teams.
