Job description
Overview
Join Molex as an Advanced Quality Planning Technician in Singapore, contributing to ensuring product quality through vigilant inspection and measurement tasks. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including quality, engineering, tooling, process, and production to uphold consistent inspection standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough visual and dimensional inspections to verify product quality.
- Set up measurement equipment and troubleshoot basic issues to maintain accurate assessments.
- Maintain precise and timely documentation of inspection records and quality logs.
- Communicate quality concerns promptly to supervisors, engineers, and line leaders.
- Assist in daily quality reporting and updating trend analyses.
- Immediate containment of defects to prevent non-conforming products from progressing or shipment.
- Participate in segregation, re-inspection, and disposition of suspect product batches.
- Support root cause analysis during defect investigations.
- Provide hands-on coaching and guidance to new inspectors to ensure understanding of inspection standards, procedures, and defect identification.
- Demonstrate proper inspection techniques and promote best practices among team members.
- Regularly liaise with DPE, engineering, and QA personnel to resolve quality challenges and improve assembly, inspection, and quality control methods.
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Minimum academic qualification: GCE 'O' Level, NTC2, or equivalent.
- At least two years of experience in quality control inspection and measurement.
- Proficient with measurement fundamentals and operation of measurement instruments such as OGP, toolmaker microscopes, or Keyence systems.
- Strong communication skills to effectively address quality issues within cross-functional teams.
Preferred Experience
- Four or more years of demonstrated quality control inspection and measurement expertise.
- Certification or practical programming experience with OGP SmartScope, View, Keyence, or similar measurement systems.
- In-depth understanding of inspection methodologies, measurement practices, and defect containment approaches.
Work Schedule and Contract Details
- One-year contract with mandatory shift rotations.
- Five working days per week with various shift patterns including 9-hour day shifts and 12-hour rotating shifts.
- Strict adherence to work hour regulations: no more than 12 hours daily, 60 hours weekly, and no more than 6 consecutive working days.
- Annual leave entitlements including eleven public holidays and progressive benefits based on length of service.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary starting at SGD 1250++.
- Additional allowances: transport (SGD 70), attendance bonus (SGD 50), and housing (SGD 200).
- Shift allowances and overtime payments based on schedule and management discretion; average of 60 overtime hours per month.
- Company-provided uniforms and insurance coverage.
