Role Overview

As an NDT Technician, you will be responsible for conducting non-destructive testing (NDT) using various inspection methods to verify the integrity of aerospace components, ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI), Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and Radiographic Testing (RT) according to established procedures, interpreting and documenting results for acceptance or rejection.
• Understand the capabilities and limitations of certified NDT methods and follow directives accordingly.
• Conduct temper etch inspections following specifications to verify heat-treated parts meet quality standards and detect any overheating or abnormalities.
• Read and interpret job instruction sheets effectively.
• Carry out system performance checks per process standards.
• Set up, calibrate, standardize, and operate various NDT equipment to ensure valid and precise testing outcomes.
• Perform regular calibration and maintenance of testing media and instruments.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma holder in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum two years’ experience in Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Radiographic Testing (RT) within an aerospace environment, preferably involving aircraft structures, engines, or components; or equivalent training combined with relevant experience.
• Current certification in NAS410, EN4179, ASNT or SNT-TC-1A standards.
• Basic understanding of product manufacturing, inspection techniques, and aircraft engine maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP software.
• Strong teamwork ability along with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capability to remain composed and productive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
• Continuous improvement mindset and ability to multitask effectively.
• Prior NDT experience in the aviation sector is advantageous.
