Job Overview

The Accommodation Assistant is responsible for maintaining consistent standards in maintenance and hygiene across bedrooms, public areas, and linen management, ensuring all rooms meet the company's 4-star quality standards before they are handed back to reception.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean assigned rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public spaces using approved chemicals, cleaning materials, and equipment while maintaining adequate stock of bathroom and bedroom supplies.
  • Change bed linen and towels according to the hotel's prescribed schedule and quality standards.
  • Maintain tidiness and stock levels of accommodation trolleys, caddies, and storage presses.
  • Deliver any guest property left behind to the Accommodation Manager for lost property handling.
  • Communicate material or equipment needs to the Accommodation Manager to ensure efficient job performance.
  • Optimize resource usage to maintain the lowest possible costs.
  • Promptly report maintenance issues to the supervisor or manager.
  • Coordinate with supervisors on room moves, VIP guests, and special requirements, acting on shared information.
  • Provide ongoing updates on room status after completion of room checks.
  • Engage actively in training sessions, meetings, and personnel activities aimed at improving standards and performance.
  • Uphold the hotel’s customer relations policy and verbally inform guests about hotel services.
  • Handle customer complaints politely and empathetically, reporting immediately to management.
  • Arrive on duty punctually in a clean uniform with name badge visible at all times.
  • Maintain excellent personal hygiene and grooming in line with company grooming policies.
  • Report "Do Not Disturb" or "No Service" statuses daily and keep corridors free from debris.
  • Secure key cards responsibly while in possession.
  • Report any accidents promptly to the Manager on Duty.
  • Adhere strictly to Fire, Security, Health, and Safety Procedures at all times.
