Role Overview

We are searching for an Abinitio Developer based in Sydney to join our full-time permanent team. This role requires over 7 years of professional experience, specializing in data engineering and ETL processes with strong expertise in Abinitio technologies, Unix/Linux environments, and relevant data integration tools.

Key Responsibilities and Skills

• Develop and implement robust data engineering solutions and ETL frameworks using Unix/Linux and Ab Initio.
• Exercise strong coding, system design, debugging, and complex problem-solving capabilities.
• Guide and mentor team members by providing technical assistance and fostering best practices.
• Design and deploy high-quality software products with thorough test coverage with minimal supervision.
• Estimate development efforts for new features and support Level 3 technical troubleshooting.
• Proficient hands-on programming experience (8-12 years) with Ab Initio products and shell scripting, including handling batch and continuous data flows.
• Strong working knowledge of Oracle RDBMS, SQL, and other ETL/data integration tools.
• Experience in cloud technologies, specifically AWS Cloud platform.
• Integration proficiency with middleware technologies such as MQs, RESTful APIs, and Kafka message streaming.
• Understanding of CI/CD methodologies and ability to develop pipelines using Jenkins, TeamCity, and Ab Initio EME.
• Programming skills in Python and Java, along with DevOps practices and production support experience.
