Job description
Role Overview
The Workshop Coordinator will oversee and streamline all workshop operations related to maintenance and repairs of the company's vehicles, including heavy-duty trucks, trailers, vans, and material handling equipment (MHE) in the UAE. The role entails managing scheduling, documentation, logistics between various teams, parts inventory, and ensuring compliance with local regulatory bodies.
Key Duties
- Organize and schedule both preventive and corrective maintenance jobs, manage job documentation and prioritize repairs.
- Support the monitoring of fleet and MHE performance and coordinate prompt breakdown recoveries.
- Handle procurement and inventory of spare parts, maintain vendor relations, and raise purchase requests.
- Manage regulatory compliance through appropriate documentation such as RTA registrations, insurance policies, permits, and process financial transactions including invoices, monthly accruals, petty cash, and fines.
- Serve as the communication bridge between drivers, mechanics, and the logistics department.
Candidate Requirements
- Between 3 to 5 years of experience in workshop coordination, fleet, or transport operations, preferably within FMCG or logistics sectors.
- Practical familiarity with workshop documentation and fleet management software like ERP or FMS systems.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications and an understanding of UAE traffic and RTA regulations.
