Job description
Overview
An immediate opening is available for a PMO Capital Projects role based in Abu Dhabi for a minimum duration of 12 months. The role involves overseeing the pre-construction stage—covering scoping, design, and procurement—of an extensive, multi-year control centre construction project for a utilities client, including integration of IT and OT systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead PMO activities during pre-construction phases of a large-scale infrastructure project.
- Manage project planning and scheduling to meet timelines and milestones.
- Oversee budget control and ensure effective risk management processes are in place.
- Coordinate document control and maintain stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with a designated Technical Advisory firm responsible for technical and integration oversight.
Requirements and Experience
- Proven management experience within PMO functions for capital expenditure (capex) projects.
- Experience preferred in sectors such as Utilities, Mining, Oil & Gas, Infrastructure, or other capex-heavy industries.
- Must hold Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI, or an equivalent project management certification.
- Familiarity or hands-on experience with MS Project or Primavera project scheduling software is highly advantageous.
Additional Information
This position is contracted onsite in Abu Dhabi with a project duration commencing at 12 months or more. Candidates should be ready for prompt engagement.
