About the Role

Join Linfox, a leader in logistics delivering essentials and resources to Australia's largest companies across diverse sectors like retail, healthcare, government, and defence. In this role, you will be pivotal in advancing our industrial relations strategy within a diverse, unionised blue-collar workforce, providing expert advice to management and supporting operational improvements. This position is based at our headquarters in Essendon Fields, Victoria.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise site managers and leadership on tailored workplace relations and policies.
  • Serve as the in-house expert on employee and industrial relations, collaborating with People & Culture teams.
  • Gain deep knowledge of Fair Work instruments to enhance operational efficiency and facilitate change.
  • Lead investigations into grievances, disputes, misconduct, and policy violations.
  • Oversee and manage the entire enterprise bargaining process.
  • Prepare submissions and support advocacy before the Fair Work Commission and other tribunals or courts.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including union representatives.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations to mitigate risks and financial exposure.
  • Participate in both formal and informal dispute resolution mechanisms.

Candidate Profile

We seek a dedicated Workplace or Industrial Relations practitioner with extensive experience in complex, fast-moving blue-collar settings such as industrial, mining, manufacturing, or transport and logistics. You should demonstrate excellent investigative skills, clear communication, and the capacity to advise across a broad spectrum of workplace issues.

  • Tertiary education in Workplace or Industrial Relations, Human Resources, Business, or Law.
  • At least three years' professional experience in Workplace/Industrial Relations within blue-collar environments.
  • Proven ability to conduct workplace investigations aligned with legislation and company policies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth), discrimination, safety, and employment law.
  • Experience with Australian enterprise bargaining frameworks.
  • Ability to prepare documentation for court and tribunal proceedings.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills and influence at various organizational levels.
  • Strong commercial insight regarding labor costs and productivity impacts.
  • High-level interpersonal skills geared toward confidentiality and integrity.
