Workforce Transformation Director

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced professional to expand our Workforce Transformation practice. Our team collaborates with clients to design and execute practical workforce solutions aimed at enhancing organizational effectiveness, developing future capabilities, and aligning talent strategies with business objectives. Our expertise covers areas such as workforce transformation strategy, AI's impact on the workforce, operating model design, workforce planning, skills taxonomy creation, skills evaluation, workforce analytics, and organizational design.

Our client base includes local entities as well as some of the world’s leading employers. While this position is based in Ireland, it involves close collaboration with colleagues across EMEA and globally, depending on client requirements.

This role is commercially focused, involving direct client interaction and prospect engagement. At this senior level, you will be expected to lead business growth, build and nurture client relationships, secure new business opportunities, and oversee successful delivery of workforce transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive growth of the Workforce Transformation business through business development initiatives, networking, thought leadership, and client relationship management.
• Establish and maintain a robust network of senior stakeholders internally and externally to identify and convert new opportunities.
• Design, promote, and lead tailored workforce transformation solutions, leveraging expertise across Aon as needed.
• Address client workforce challenges by developing and implementing transformation strategies and programs.
• Lead client engagements involving AI workforce impact, operating model design, workforce planning, skills-based workforce transformation, skills taxonomy development, and skills assessments.
• Ensure projects are delivered efficiently, accurately, and aligned with commercial goals.
• Supervise project teams, provide leadership and mentorship to junior colleagues while actively participating in project delivery.
• Contribute to the creation of thought leadership material and market-facing propositions that enhance Aon's standing in workforce transformation.

Collaboration across various specialties including Human Capital, Talent, Rewards, Assessment, Analytics, Change, and Organisation Design will be integral to delivering comprehensive client solutions.

Required Skills and Experience

• Background in workforce transformation, organization design, workforce strategy, HR transformation, or a comparable consulting area.
• Demonstrated success in business development and managing senior stakeholder relationships.
• Experience in leading and completing complex consulting engagements.
• Familiarity with workforce planning, operating model design, organizational effectiveness, AI workforce impact, skills-based organizations, and/or workforce analytics.
• Proven ability to craft, sell, and execute consulting solutions in a client-facing context.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation capabilities.
• Leadership experience with project teams and capability development.
• Commercial insight with a focus on driving revenue growth.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfort thriving in a high-autonomy entrepreneurial setting.
• Psychometric assessment and coaching experience is desirable but not mandatory.
